Registration Terms

2-Wheel Training
Completion of our two-wheel training classes come with the opportunity to earn your permit. To get fully endorsed you’ll need to complete additional testing. The endorsement testing is available at Motorcycle Training Inc

3-Wheel Training
Successfully completing a 3-wheel class or test allows you to add the full endorsement through the Department of Licensing.

Important Notes

  • MTI staff cannot add permits or endorsements to your license.
  • You must add your permit or endorsement to your license
  • Your results will be submitted to the Department of Licensing within 3 business days after class completion.

 

For Students Under 18

  • A parent or guardian must sign a waiver in front of an MTI staff member or instructor.
  • If a parent/guardian cannot attend the first session, you can sign the waiver in front of a Notary Public and submit the notarized copy.
  • Failure to follow these requirements will result in removal from the class without a refund.

Student Cancellations

  • A $25 fee applies to all cancellations or changes, regardless of notice.
  • Cancellations or changes must be emailed to [email protected]. The email date will be used to determine your eligibility for refunds or rescheduling.
  • Cancel or reschedule at least 7 days before the class to receive a refund (minus $25 fee).
  • Refunds or rescheduling for cancellations made less than 7 days before class will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • Not showing up at the scheduled start time or failing to bring the required riding gear will forfeit your class fees, and you must pay to re-enroll.

MTI Cancellations

  • Motorcycle Training Inc reserves the right to cancel training classes at any time.
  • If a class is canceled, you can choose between a refund or rescheduling.

Next Steps

  • If you fail a test, your instructor will recommend next steps, which could include taking the test again or additional training. You must retake the test within 30 days. The first retake is free, but additional tests or classes may incur fees.

Required Riding Gear

  • DOT-compliant helmet (loaner helmets are available and require a barrier layer)
  • Eye protection
  • Long-sleeve shirt or jacket
  • Long, non-flare pants made of denim or equivalent or more durable material
  • Over-the-ankle boots (sturdy, not canvas)

Failure to meet these gear requirements will result in dismissal with no refund.

What to Bring

  • Food/beverages for breaks and lunch
  • Your own riding helmet if you prefer
  • Layers for adjusting to the weather while outside riding
  • Your eCourse completion certificate

 

Student-Owned Motorcycles

  • You may use your own motorcycle, but it must meet specific conditions (e.g., proof of ownership, insurance, and safety inspection).
  • Certain motorcycles are not allowed. Contact MTI for details.
  • MTI is not responsible for personal vehicles parked on the property.
