The Knowledge Test is administered at the locations listed above. You must achieve a score of at least 80% to pass.
Please check our Class Schedule to get the specific dates and times the Knowledge Test will be administered. If you do not see a session that fits your schedule, please call us at 509-371-0888 and we will attempt to find a time that you can come in and test.
To get a CD copy of the current Motorcycle Operators Manual, you may go to your local Departemnt of Licensing Service Office or you may pick up a hard copy from 8:00AM to 4:00PM Monday through Friday at 613 N Rd 27 in Pasco. You may also pick up a copy at our Classroom/Range at 2125 Robertson Drive in Richland. The Richland office is not regularly staffed, so please call 509-371-0888 to make sure the office is open.

We also administer the 3-Wheel Knowledge Testing for Sidecar/Trike Permits. These tests will be administered in conjunction with any Knowledge Testing session.
Once successfully completed, you may go to a DOL office and have your Motorcycle Permit added to your license so you can practice riding for your Skills Test. Your test results are good for 180 days.
If you already have a valid Motorcycle Permit on your license, or have completed your Knowledge Test within the last 180 days you may skip the Knowledge Test and go directly to the Skills Testing.
It is your responsibility to provide accurate information concerning the validity of your test date. If in doubt, retake the Knowledge Test.
